We call it "Good Friday." It is an unusual name when you consider His suffering.

Bad to Him, --"good" only for us."

Around the world people will pause today to considers the scarface of Jesus Christ on the cross. The basic foundation of existence was being altered once and for all.  The brokenness of our hurting world was being laid upon the innocent lamb of God.

His sacrifice would tear a hole in normal history. This event changed the world for ever.

In obedience to Father's command Jesus transformed THE CROSS, from an enduring image a of disgrace, shame and death,to the the everlasting symbol of Hope and promise!

As we prepare to leave for Africa this week . . . Syria and Lebanon are still on our hearts. Please continue to pray for Refugees around the world. We are trusting God to continue to move in the camps in the Bekaa where we ministered. We are so blessed that to see how God was touching lives. The terror, pain and attacks continue- but we are believing God to intervene and do in the Spirit what diplomacy, bullets, smart bombs and missiles will never be able to finish. God, send your Love, please send your peace in the the name for your Holy Son Jesus and His sacrifice.
A Physician Looks at the Crucifixion

Every Good Friday for the last 35 years, I have shared this message in some Teen Challenge Center, somewhere in the world. I would like to share a video I made. I pray it will bless your home, church or center this GOOD FRIDAY What did the body of Jesus actually endure in the night and day leading up to Good Friday and those 6 hours of torture on the Cross. A Physician Looks at the Crucifixion by Dr. C Truman Davis is a powerful view of the physical and anatomical aspects of the passion and death of our Lord.
Today, make the time to remember! He did not forget us.

I am so grateful that Jesus went to that cross so that now all we have to do is carry the cross,

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it:
but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, shall save it.__Luke 9:23

God's Greatest Gift

They crucified Him, and with Him two other men,
one on either side, and Jesus in between.
John 19:18

Did you ever wonder why there was a cross on each side of Jesus with him in the center? Those two crosses symbolize one of God's greatest gifts - the gift of choice.

The criminals on each side had much in common. Convicted by the same system, condemned to the same death, surrounded by the same mocking crowd, they were equally close to the same Christ. In fact, they began with the same sarcasm; as both insulted Jesus.

The robbers who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him with the same words. Mat 27:44

"Let this Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, so that we may see and believe!" Those who were crucified with Him were also insulting Him. Mar 15:32

How did the crowd insult him? Not by criticizing his mother or by saying that He was stupid ... but the inference that he was powerless and the self-conceit of their demand that Jesus prove himself.

Then one thief changed. He chastised the other thief for his insults and cried out, "Jesus, remember me when you come into Your kingdom."

Jesus answered him, 'I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in paradise' Luke 23:42-43.

What a wonderful testimony filled with promise and miraculous change ... but don't forget the second thief. He is not going to have such a happy ending.

In America we want happy endings, but the deafening silence of the second thief as he plunges into Christ-less torment for eternity is a frightening picture of today's post-Christian culture. Like the unrepentant thief, we demand signs, commanding Jesus to relate to us on "our terms." We come with our list of preconditions in order to believe. The supreme arrogance is that my heart should permit me the luxury of suggesting prerequisites for God to prove His power or His love.

Max Lucado says, "While we rejoice at the thief who changed, we dare not forget the one who didn't. There are times when God sends thunder to stir us. There are times when God sends blessings to lure us. But there are times when God sends nothing but silence, as He honors us with the freedom to choose where we spend eternity."

There is no greater privilege than choice. Think about it. In the end, the thief who repented reversed a lifetime of bad decisions with one good choice. He chose Christ!
No matter how many bad choices we have made in our past, our future can be redeemed by one good choice - the decision to surrender to Christ and follow Him.

If anyone hears My voice and opens the door,

I will come in Revelation 3:20
