E-Poster Published

Dr. Matossian's 'Uncorrected intermediate visual acuity (UCIVA) in patients with bilateral asymmetrical astigmatism with concurrent cataract corrected using two different methods' E-Poster was broadcast at American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) during the annual ophthalmology conference.
The poster compiled a clinical study she performed which concluded that the combination of an LRI and quarter diopter IOL in the eye with lesser astigmatism and a toric IOL in the eye with greater astigmatism, provides excellent uncorrected distance and intermediate visual acuity in patients who required both spherical and cylinder correction at the time of cataract replacement.

Feast Your Eyes "Feast Your Eyes"

Have you ever seen a meal that you could taste from the sight of it?

In his travels to the Island of Kythera, Minas Coroneo, M.D., ophthalmologist in Australia, noticed the low incidence of macular degeneration associated with the local healthy diet. This sparked his interest in writing a cookbook. He and his wife started working with chefs from all over the world to compile recipes to create "Feast Your Eyes".

Dr. Coroneo is currently working on an American version of the cookbook, which will be available later this year. Until then, the Australian version of "Feast Your Eyes" can be ordered online at and the Genetic Eye Foundation website,, for $34.95. Proceeds from the book go to the Genetic Eye Foundation to help with the organization's research into eye diseases.
