Chef Talk with Tim Pitts
April 16 10 am


Tim Pitts, Dinner chef and co-owner of Centre Street Bistro, will show you how easy it is prepare an elegant three-course dinner that is semi from scratch. Tim strives to use the highest quality, freshest ingredients and his love of simple but delicious food will shine through during this presentation. Of course there will be samples, so you'll know what this meal will look and taste like when you head home to create it yourself.


In The Greenhouses...

I was taking a spring-time tour with some new employees a few days ago when we ran into Andrew, who was headed out to turn the compost pile. He shared a few words about it.

Blooming Creations (our custom potting department) is getting underway again.

These window boxes were planted for a down-town business, just in time for some spring weather!

We grew plenty of pansies for your gardens, pots and window boxes! They are blooming their little heads off, which they will continue to do as long as it stays cool!


This is the best sign of spring, by far!

Phil made a foray into the fields to begin plowing! This is the future home of the early crops of lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, squash and flowers!

Cooking Simply, not Simply Cooking

You are not going to want to miss this opportunity to learn from an experienced chef! The first 'Cooking with Tina' class will be held in the evening on April 21 in our own farm kitchen.

Easter Saturday at the Farm

Saturday April 23, 10 AM in the Hayloft

We'll prepare hard boiled eggs and provide all the dyes and other goodies to decorate them (and we'll take care of the clean-up) from 10-11am. At 11:15 head out to the Garden Center for an Easter egg hunt. The Easter Bunny will even make a special appearance, so bring your camera!

Registration and pre-payment ($5.00 for 1/2 dozen eggs) are required for the easter egg coloring activity. Register here or in person at the farm by April 21.

Our Spring Celebration - A perfect day!

Face painting, music, shopping, sidewalk art, and plenty of food sampling were all made better by the welcome sunshine! Visitors sampled vegan burgers, SoCo Creamery Ice Cream, Northeast Family Farms meats, Pasta Goddess Gluten-Gree Pastas, Cisco Beer, Salty Oats cookies and blended veggie juices. Earth Got The Blues played al fresco in the afternoon, making an all around PERFECT spring day! Thanks to everyone who came out to get a taste of what we have going on this year!

Only in a manner of speaking! The Nantucket Garden club is gearing up for The Thirty-Seventh Annual Nantucket Daffodil Show and New England Regional Show on daffodil weekend. Everyone in the community is invited to participate by creating arrangements, showing single stems, entering a photograph, or just coming out to see this spectacular show. We are proud to host this event at the farm for the first time ever! For more information, see the garden club's website.
