Did You Pick Tomatoes at The Farm?
Over the three days of tomato picking the last few weeks, pickers gathered about 6000 pounds of tomatoes.
PYO Tomato
We want to know what you did with all of them!
Are there hundreds (thousands) of jars of tomatoes in basements?
Did you make enough salsa to feed an army?
Tomato jam?
Is your freezer full of sauce?

Send us a quick email to let us know how you processed (or ate) all those tomatoes! And if you'd like to share your recipe, include that too!
Nantucket Restaurant Week

This is the time to try out some restaurants that you may not have had a chance to visit before! Each restaurant will offer a special menu at a special price during the week. Check the Restaurant Week website to find out more! You will be directed to individual restaurants to see menus and prices.

The week culminates with the
Nantucket Junior Chef Competition
This annual culinary competition pits three teams from Nantucket High School Culinary Arts Program against each other.

Armed with a secret local ingredient and a celebrated chef
from an island restaurant, the teams go to work on a three-course meal

live at noon at Cisco Brewery on September 30, 2012.

Chefs this year are Stephen representing the Boarding House, Neil from Bartlett's Farm & American Seasons Sous Chef Andy.

MC Jenny Johnson, of NECN's "TV Diner", provides dazzling commentary as the food is prepared and tasted by the panel of esteemed judges.

All proceeds from the event support the Nantucket High School Culinary Arts program where they are used for supplies, out reach programs and financial aid.
