2016: I'm very grateful for the opportunities for learning, growth, and travel that came my way this year--gallery exhibits, numerous sales, two private commissions, and growing international connections. In the studio, I've explored carborundum prints, acrylic and mixed media along with my ongoing work in cold wax medium and oil. Time spent in New Mexico and Ireland has fed my spirit and paintings. My upcoming book (see below) has been an intensive and satisfying project. As 2016 comes to a close, I want to thank you sincerely for your interest and support.

2017: In the coming year, I'll be teaching workshops in the US, New Zealand, Italy and Ireland (a few openings remain in some classes; see below). My husband and I have purchased a property with an old adobe and small studio near Taos, and soon we'll be heading there for the winter. And I'm excited about new plans with Jerry McLaughlin and our publishing company, Squeegee Press. I hope to connect with many of you in the months ahead, through social media, exhibits, workshops, and Squeegee Press projects. Thank you so very much for following my work and activities, and all best wishes for the New Year.

Cold Wax Medium: Techniques, Concepts & Conversations by Rebecca Crowell and Jerry McLaughlin
Our book has been a lengthy but very rewarding and exciting project. It is currently at the printer, and we expect to know the release date soon. To keep informed about when and how to purchase, please join our mailing list.
Huge thanks to all of you who joined the summer crowd-funding campaign for the book's publication costs. It was an overwhelming success and has enabled us to increase the size of our initial print run. This means we'll have enough copies for everyone who wants one, worldwide. If you purchased an early release copy via our campaign, it will be on its way very soon after the books reach our distribution center.
Special request: Jerry and I are very interested in connecting with reviewers of art books, as well as faculty of college/university art programs who might consider using the book in their classes, or in placing it in a university or public library. Please email us for more information.
Videos! now that the book has been launched, we are ready to begin the next project from Squeegee Press--a video series presenting techniques and concepts for working with cold wax medium. As with our book, these videos will be made to a professional standard, giving insight and context to the techniques presented, while offering a visual experience that only video can provide. Please join our mailing list to stay informed about this project.
