Resolution Information for 2017 Synod Assembly
One avenue of access for congregations, conferences, synod organizational units and voting members to address issues and propose a plan for action is the resolution. Resolutions help organize the work of the assembly by clarifying important issues or concerns. Resolutions are first reviewed by the Reference and Counsel Committee, which will make recommendations to the assembly to facilitate its work, but the resolutions belong to the assembly and may be amended, rejected,  or adopted after consideration by the voting members. Resolutions may be submitted until 45 days prior to the first day the assembly meets.  For the 2017 Synod Assembly, resolutions must be in the synod office by April 4, 2017. Please read the Writing A Resolution Guide 2017 by clicking the button below.

Please send resolutions to:

Rostered Leaders Gathering
Join keynote speakers Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton, The Rev. Dr. James Alexander Forbes Jr., and Rachel Held Evans for worship, education, and fellowship. Gathered under the theme of “On the Way…Together,” inspired by the road to Emmaus story (Luke 24:13-35), we will focus on how we are #inthistogether. As we continue to deepen our ecumenical partnerships, confront racism and boldly respond to the needs of the world, this gathering provides the opportunity for leaders to gather and explore what God has in store for us.

SUNDAY PRAYER
Jesus did not hesitate to be in conversation with, share the good news with and invite to faith the Samaritan woman at the well - a stranger and outsider. We pray our faith shines brightly everywhere, remembering that God's word and the good news of Jesus Christ is a gift intended for all people.
