We have pumpkins!
Orange pumpkins, warty pumpkins, white pumpkins, yellow pumpkins, pink pumpkins, small pumpkins, really small pumpkins,
big pumpkins, and really big pumpkins.
And they were all grown here at Bartlett's.
You can find them in the garden center!

And there are great farm-grown plants for your decks and fall containers.  The mums are just beautiful this year!

Last of the Farm Grown Corn!
It might be the end of the season for corn but it is still sweet with big, delicious kernels. Take some time now to freeze a few ears and you will have sweet reminder of summer this winter.
- Blanch each ear for 4 minutes
- Chill in an ice bath
- Use a serrated knife to remove the kernels
- Pop into a freezer bag
It's that simple!

Who's YOUR Farmer?

Jean Salomon (who goes by Salomon) is in his second and final year at Bartlett's Farm. He is from Les Cayes in Haiti.

Before coming to Nantucket he worked for an organization called Love Your Neighbor where he grew food for school children in Haiti. He came here because we wanted to better himself and get more experience. He says that Bartlett's is one of the best farms to work for. His favorite job is working with the tomatoes in the greenhouse because they need so much attention - he says it is like taking care of a baby.

He plans to continue doing what he loves - farming - and hopes to have his own small farm in Haiti one day.
