Dinosaurs Live! (Shown)
(Open thru Feb. 21) Encounter the 46-foot T-Rex and eight new life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the Heard Museum nature trails. Included in admission to the museum. Also on the sanctuary grounds: picnic area, pioneer village and Animals of the World Exhibit; more exhibits indoors. Open New Year's Eve until 3 p.m. Closed New Year's Day.
 
 
 
 
 
(Thru Jan. 10)
Approximately 100 teacups and saucers in 11 different pattern categories, many on loan from local McKinney families and from the Heard-Craig Heirloom China including Kathryn's own hand painted collections. The teacups dating from 1900 - 1950 are displayed alongside current patterns. Complimentary tea tasting during your visit. Open daily (except New Year's Day) from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Requested $20 donation to cover the exhibit, the tour, the tea, and the Patterns informational brochure. Proceeds support the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts, 205 W. Hunt Street.
 
 
 
 
 
(Thru Dec. 31) Explore a vintage showcase of artifacts from Christmases past. For a list of exhibits, visit the CCHS website. Also, kids can drop letters to Santa in the North Pole Express delivery box at this historic post office. 300 E. Virginia. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. (Closed New Year's Day.)
