With February nearly behind us, we can't help but start to think ahead to spring and all the wonderful things that go along with the changing of the seasons. Between ordering new seeds & plants, new products, inspiring new scents and home goods, we are keeping things fresh at the farm.

Keep the winter doldrums at bay...come on out and treat yourself to a fresh, new cutting board, some lemony olive oil, or a fresh new scent from our Thymes Home Line collection. Need some recipe inspiration? Read on for a healthy new salad with a wholesome base of Bob's Red mill grains. Top it off with a filet of heart-healthy salmon or flounder from Nantucket Fresh Catch, and you will be transported to a sunny, new mind set!

into Your Kitchen
Ariston Lemon Infused Oil from Greece
Infused with essence of lemon pairs well with any seafood, chicken or dish that needs a little lemon flavor. This Lemon infused Olive Oil is not only great for savory dishes but also in baking. Try it with lemon poppyseed muffins, Greek cookies and lemon pound cake. Need more ideas?
     Whisk up a honey-lemon dessert sauce- Whisk together equal parts lemon oil with fresh lemon juice, and add a spoonful of honey to taste. Pour over chopped fresh fruits and warm pastries for divine citrus intervention.
    Make a purely citrus slaw-  Try a simple slaw with shredded veggies of choice then make a simple vinaigrette with lemon oil. Just whisk with acid (like lemon juice or apple cider vinegar), salt and pepper, and a bit of honey to taste. Then toss and enjoy!
   Infuse your grain pilafs and salads- We have an extensive variety of Bob's Red Mill grains that are nutrient rich and heart-healthy.

"Thymes has just introduced a home line that includes counter top spray, dish-washing soap, hand soap as well as their fabulous candles and home mist.  We are carrying two scents here at the farm; Washed Linen, for those who prefer a nice clean scent, and Mandarin Coriander, which has a lovely citrus scent."
"Epicurean is a fabulous line of cutting boards and utensils. Everything is made in America, knife and dishwasher safe. One of the personal chef customers who shops at Bartlett's in the summer told me he has to have them in every house he cooks in!
We carry a variety of styles, mostly wood composite as well as a poly option. They come in different size and colors and some boards have extra features like gripper feet and juice wells."

Bartlett's Farm has said "NO WAY" to
plastic straws in a big way! 
We offer Haystraws brand made of wheat stalks to our customers and sell a few different kinds of reusable straws in the market. U-Konserve makes one of our favorites, available for purchase by the registers!
Garden Center Goodies-
Perfect Pots 
Just in this week- Self watering, orchid and decorative pots, dripping with eye-popping, brightly colored glazes that are just begging to be filled with a sweet African violet, orchid or cactus. Located across from Fresh Catch, this collection is a must see!
Pictured below left- Our new self-watering pots! Simply pot your plant into the insert and fill the base with water. Your plant will take the water it needs right through the terra cotta. Easy peasy! Pictured right- brightly glazed pots make a perfect gift. Even better with the purchase of a pretty little houseplant to brighten your valentine's day.
