2019 Tri-Synodical Fall Conference
The Tri-Synodical Fall Conference will be held in West Des Moines, September 22-24, 2019. Deacons Jeremy Myers from Augsburg University and Chelle Huth from United Seminary will serve as keynote speakers under the theme Faith Formation as Shared Mission. The last day to book rooms at the group rate the Sheraton West Des Moines is September 8. Registration closes on September 18.

This year’s gathering of retired pastors, deacons, and spouses will be our last time as a group with Bishop Michael Burk while he is still our bishop.

Tools to add advocacy to your Day of Service
This Sept. 8, we look forward to the annual ELCA “God’s work. Our hands.” Sunday day of service. For the last several years, participating congregations and engaged ministries on this day have sent thousands of messages to their members of Congress, pairing public witness and issue discernment with service activities.

ELCA sanctuary denomination
ELCA Churchwide Assembly voted Aug. 7 to approve a memorial that affirms the denomination's long-standing commitment to migrants and refugees and declares the ELCA a sanctuary church body.
