gopfresno@gmail.com FCRCC AUGSUT 2018 NEWSLETTER A WORD FROM OUR CHAIRMAN FRED VANDERHOOF Dear Fellow Republicans, As we spend time with family and friends during this summer season, we can be especially thankful for all the accomplishments of President Trump! There is no denying that our President loves our country, has a plan and follows it. Since he is an accomplished businessman and new to D.C. politics, he has a unique style unlike any other political leader. Donald Trump combines the energy of Teddy Roosevelt, the bluntness of Harry Truman and the conservatism of Ronald Reagan. It is astounding to see how much and how quickly one man with a vision can accomplish. The Left has descended into violence, anarchy and socialism. Indeed, Tom Perez, the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, recently stated that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, an avowed socialist, is the future of the Democrat Party. Recently, she won the Democrat primary in a New York congressional seat. Locally and nationally the Democrats demand more power and create an atmosphere of chaos that denigrates our traditional institutions and attacks those with whom they disagree. They consider the Constitution outdated and irrelevant. The freedom of religion and speech, as well as our other rights are all at risk in this hostile environment. However, we must stand firm for our Republican values and be directly involved in getting people out to vote. President Trump has shown the way to win an election. Speak plainly, work harder than the other candidate, and go to every community, every demographic and ask for their vote. Many polls show that there are Democrats and Independents who are very unsatisfied with the Leftist direction of the current Democratic leadership and many of these may swing their votes our direction! As we prepare for the mid-term elections in November the single most important thing we can do is personally recruit neighborhood captains who will help us get-out-the-vote. We can influence more people to vote by finding like-minded individuals to contact their neighbors. Please see more information below about this highly important effort. It will be very effective if we multiply our efforts by becoming precinct captains and recruiting others to do the same!
VOLUNTEER AND LEAD! LET'S ALL MAKE CALIFORNIA GREAT AGAIN! ![]() Neighborhood Captains Needed! The cornerstone of our successful Get-Out-The-Vote efforts is the Neighborhood (Precinct) Captain. Neighborhood Captains help increase voter turnout within their own voting precinct. The responsibilities of a Neighborhood Captains include walking their own voting precinct to distribute the Republican Party's voting recommendations as well as making phone calls on election night. It is important we have as many Neighborhood Captains as possible leading up to this November 2018 election. Please consider volunteering for this today and encouraging friends and family to do the same. Email the Get Out The Vote Committee at fresnogotv@nym.hush.com. Thank you!
![]() LINCOLN REAGAN DINNER WHAT A NIGHT!
On Thursday, May 31, 2018, the FCRCC held its annual Lincoln Reagan Dinner at TorNino's Banquet Hall in Fresno. What a night it was!! The atmosphere sparkled with red, white and blue décor. Dinner guests were busy socializing before the event awaiting, eagerly, what was to come. The keynote speaker was Herman Cain. Ray Appleton received a Life Time Achievement award and it was presented to him by Sheriff Margaret Mimms. State and local candidates were in attendance and were asked to say a few words in support of their campaigns. Emcee, Mayor Bob Whalen of Clovis was entertaining and made sure everything ran on time. Herman Cain's presentation was outstanding and it captured everyone's attention right from the very beginning. He spoke about his humble beginnings such as his childhood, from where he came, his college years and his goals when he first started working. He mentioned some obstacles he encountered and how he overcame them and then succeeded. He spoke in support of President Trump, how good he is doing, how he agrees with his decisions and gave a comforting message stating "Things will be alright." As Mr. Cain continued to speak, his enthusiasm and natural leadership presented itself in the most dynamic way. The crowd responded by shouting out supportive cheers, gave continuous applause and several standing ovations. The excitement was intense, hope was very much alive, it solidified the importance of Republican beliefs and values. When the event ended, the excitement was still present and people clambered to meet him and take pictures while others remarked on his incredible presentation. It was a night to remember. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Together they enjoy roses, Charlie & Cody (their Progressive rock is the only kind of progressive you will hear associated with Frank today. He is a Constitutional conservative who decided he had to make the change from Democrat to Republican as a result of the Clinton-Lewinsky affair. He said the brutalization of Monica and her friend Linda Tripp was the last straw from a party who said they championed women, but in fact, too often demonized them. He was one of the original “Walk Away” democrats! We are glad to have had Frank on our Central Committee through our Lincoln Reagan Dinners, 2nd There is not a person he meets that he does not have a 6 degrees of separation contact. His Memorial
