Four Funny Females (Saturday)
Founded in 2006 as a grassroots movement to get women laughing again, Four Funny Females has become a "don't miss" McKinney tradition for women of all ages who normally would never step foot inside a traditional comedy club. Wine & beverage bar available. 8 p.m. at McKinney Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $22 and are available online. It's already close to a sell-out!

Bundle up and bring your fishing tackle to Towne Lake Park for a unique opportunity to catch rainbow trout. Texas Parks & Wildlife Department is releasing 5,000 rainbow trout into the lake for attendees to catch! Free for kids 16 and under; $3 for adults, who must have a current fishing license. 1405 Wilson Creek Pkwy. Free hot dogs, biggest fish/smallest fish contest. Casting contest. 8 a.m.-noon.
 
 
 
 
 
Davy Knowles & the Zack King Band (Friday)
The Guitar Sanctuary presents a special double bill with Davy Knowles and the Zack King Band (shown). Doors open at 7 p.m.; music starts at 8 p.m. at The Sanctuary Music & Events Center, 6633 Virginia Pkwy. VIP Tables with seating for four directly in front of the stage are $100 per table. Nature Story Time (Friday)
Story times are designed primarily for young children and will introduce a different nature-themed book each week. 30-45 minutes depending on the book covered. Included in general admission and free for Heard Museum Members. 10:30 a.m.
 
3rd Saturday Nature Talks: Extracting Life From a Plant (Saturday) 
Plants are living creatures, too! They need food and water just like people. But how do plants get food? In this talk, you’ll learn how plants get their food and water. We’ll even use a microscope to help us learn. This program is open to the public and is free with paid general admission or Heard Museum Membership. Talk begins at 9:30 a.m.
 
 
Nature Photography Contest Submissions (Through Feb. 26)
