KOPSC Fall Intramural Soccer Registration is Now Open

Yard Waste Collection

Now through October 26

The yard waste collection season will run through Friday, October 26, 2018. Pickup days will vary each week depending on workload and weather. We will make every effort to collect yard waste the same week the request is submitted. Fill out a request for service online or call the Public Works Department at 610-265-8465 before 12:00PM on the Tuesday of the week you wish to have your yard waste picked up. Please follow the collection guidelines.

Neighborhood Meals on Wheels

Neighborhood Meals on Wheels has been delivering nutritious and affordable meals to the homebound of Upper Merion Township, Borough of Bridgeport and Borough of West Conshohocken since 1974. Local residents deliver the meals Monday to Friday, and conduct a friendly visit and security check on its patrons. For more information, call 610-265-7051 or email



Emerald Ash Borer Phase II: Timber Harvest at Heuser Park

The second phase of the township's Emerald Ash Borer Mitigation Plan at Heuser Park has begun. Over the next few weeks, a timber harvest is taking place on the Schuylkill River West Trail. Access to the trail will be restricted during the logging process for safety reasons.

Environmental Advisory Council: Get a FREE Rain Barrel!

Rain barrels can lower your water bill, prevent flooding in your yard, and reduce stormwater runoff from your property. Tomorrow, members of the Environmental Advisory Council will be at the Upper Merion Farmers Market to answer questions and give residents a chance to win FREE rain barrels and compost bins! Stop by the EAC table between 9AM and 1PM to enter the raffles, and to learn about composting, the EAC, and more!

Library Summer Extravaganza

Little Theater

Students going into kindergarten–8th grade can drop off their Edible Book Contest entries between 9AM–3PM in the Little Theater. To enter the contest, choose your favorite book and recreate a character or scene in a delicious, fully edible creation. Prizes will be awarded for creativity and all entries will be enjoyed by the public. Then everyone is invited to join us from 7-8PM that evening to be a part of Upper Merion’s Got Talent, where the community can cheer on some of our most talented kids as they give it their all in this huge variety show.  Singing, dancing, music and more...don’t miss the fun and excitement!

Expand your interests! Try something new! At the center, there are so many different ways to have fun and beat the heat this summer. You can play cards or bingo, read a book, listen to a presentation, or participate in a discussion group. Our Garden Club always welcomes new members to help keep the patio flowers, herbs, and other plants growing. Why not bring your lunch? Roadway Restrictions & Alerts

Water Main Repairs

As part of Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc (Aqua)’s continuing infrastructure improvement program, they will replace the existing water main on several streets starting the week of August 6. Road closures, a construction timeline, and more can be found on our website.

First Avenue Safety Improvements

The First Avenue Road Diet is a safety improvement project for motorists and pedestrians. The project will reduce the 4-lane road to 3 lanes that includes a lane of traffic in each direction, a dedicated center turn lane, and bicycle lanes or a wider shoulder. Construction is expected to continue throughout the summer. Learn more on the KOP-BID's website.

US 422 E. Ramp to Route 23 Temporarily Closed

The ramp from EB US 422 to Route 23 (Valley Forge Rd) is scheduled to be closed through late summer for construction on a new fly-over ramp. Learn more.
