Women's Month | Reflection

What does it mean for you to be a bold woman of faith?

I first learned my faith through my family and my church where I was able to see and experience their faith in action within the congregation and the community.

As an adult, my faith continued and continues to grow through living it out in community and in this wonderful world that God has created and given to us. In the world and all those around me, I daily experience our great God active in all that exists and my faith continues to deepen.

Pentecost this Sunday

What is Pentecost? | We celebrate the Holy Spirit coming to Jesus' disciples, and that God empowers us to love and serve others.

Worship | Worship this Sunday will be all about the movement of the Holy Spirit in our lives, our congregation, and the world. Come celebrate, worship, and praise with us!

Care Kit Assembly at 10:10am downstairs | Join us for an intergenerational celebration of Pentecost where we'll assemble hygiene care kits to send to the Navajo Lutheran Mission in Rock Point, AZ.

Want to bring something for the care kits? See below for a list of items we need. Everything helps!

Women & Justice Discussion Pt. 2 at 12:10pm downstairs | Join us for our second conversation this month responding to a draft of a new Social Statement on Women and Justice for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), our national church body. Our responses will be shared with the ELCA, and contribute to shaping the final draft.

Care Kits for Navajo Lutheran Mission

We're collecting hygiene products for the children at our partner ministry, the Navajo Lutheran Mission in Rock Point, AZ. Not only are many families there struggling financially, but also general shopping is an hour or more away in New Mexico.

We're looking for: regular size (not travel) toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, emery boards, nail clippers, soap, and similar items. We'll assemble all donated items into care kits this Sunday!

Aid for Injured Protesters in Gaza

Along with Presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), Rev. Elizabeth A. Eaton, we are appalled and saddened by yesterday’s escalation of Israeli military action against protestors in Gaza.

The ELCA will support a planned medical mission from The Lutheran World Federation’s Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem to Gaza to assist the wounded. That hospital name may sound familiar to you because we've supported the important work of this Lutheran hospital for the past several years through our Mission of the Month.

We're grateful the hospital is there to provide timely and needed medical aid. Read the full statement from Presiding Bishop Eaton here.
