A live stage production by the McKinney Youth Theatre based on Disney's classic animated film. In the heart of Paris, a kind and eccentric millionairess wills her entire estate to Duchess, her high-society cat, and her three little kittens. The Morning Maniacs host Classics on the Square Car Show the last Saturday of each month. Check out some amazing cars and trucks, enjoy some breakfast and maybe a little shopping too. 1:30-10:30 a.m. Free.

Summer Nature Story Time (Friday)
Story times designed primarily for preschoolers are held Fridays in June and July, 10:30 a.m. Included with admission; free for museum members.​

Butterfly Talk - Meet the Pollinators (Saturday) Learn about the many important pollinators that help make our ecosystems and agricultural systems function. Designed primarily for adults. Interested youth may attend with an adult. May not be suitable for children younger than 10 years. No preregistration required. Included in the cost of admission. 10-11 a.m.

Design-a-Dino Coloring Contest (Now through Aug. 5)
The Heard prepares for the Dinosaurs Live! exhibit by inviting children ages 12 and under to submit their own original coloring designs for a chance to have their artwork replicated through a custom paint job on one of this year’s exhibit dinosaurs—the Stegosaurus. Free. 
 
 
 
 
North Texas Butterfly House & Garden (Ongoing) 
Walk among free-flying native butterflies and other pollinators in our Native Texas Butterfly House & Garden. This exhibit is open during normal museum hours and is included in general admission. 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
