Upper Merion Conversations with the Commissioners & Voting System Demo

Please join the Montgomery County Commissioners for a new voting system demo, followed by our "Conversations with the Commissioners" town hall. All Montgomery County residents will be voting with a NEW voter-verified paper ballot system beginning with the May 21, 2019 primary. Christ Church (Old Swedes)
Local broadcast media professional, news writer and Society board member, George Brusstar, will present a pictorial retrospective of our community from the 80s and 90s. Still shots were recently harvested from the surviving archives of the "KP Cam," a roving camera that captured scenes from typical days-in-the-life around town. Even though most of the pictures aren't yet 30 years old, they tend to have one big thing in common – they show things that aren't there anymore. The King of Prussia Historical Society’s Annual Meeting, rescheduled from January, will precede the program. Learn more!

Township Supervisor, Dr. Bill Jenaway, testified this week to the joint Pennsylvania House and Senate Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee on local challenges and solutions to fire and emergency medical services. Bill was one of nine subject matter experts in the state providing testimony on their commission findings.

Aqua Planned Water Service Outage

On April 6, Aqua Pennsylvania will start a major infrastructure improvement project. Approximately 125 residences/businesses will be impacted on the following streets: Tennessee, Kentucky, Hillside and Dehaven avenues; Union Hill, Clipper and Matsonford roads, and Overlook Lane. The Upper Merion Community Cupboard

The Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard, located in the Valley Forge Presbyterian building (191 Town Center Road), is in need of food donations and volunteers! 

Food needed this week:

  • Tortillas/salsa & taco fixins
  • Syrup
  • Juice & juice boxes

UMACC is sustained by caring and compassionate community volunteers. Volunteers are needed for Tuesday evenings to help our patrons shop for food, and Thursday evenings to help stock our shelves. Neighborhood Meals on Wheels Needs Your Help! 

Neighborhood Meals on Wheels has been delivering nutritious and affordable meals to the home-bound of Upper Merion Township, the Borough of Bridgeport, and the Borough of West Conshohocken since 1974. Upper Merion Senior Service Center Thrift Shop/Flea Room

On Monday, April 8, we will begin accepting donations for our thrift shop/flea room. Items can be dropped off between 9:30AM and 1:30PM, Monday-Thursday. Acceptable donations are children's books, appliances, electronics (in working order), knickknacks, decorations, and more. We will not accept adult books, used clothing, junk, or broken items.

22nd Annual Flea Market & Bake Sale

Roadway Restrictions & Alerts

Brownlie Road Bridge

Due to the increased deterioration of the Brownlie Road Bridge side walls, for safety reasons, the township closed the road until a permanent repair can be made. The bridge is located between Avon Road and Redwood Road in the Lowell Hills section of the township. A detour will be provided which will utilize the use of Henderson Road and Beidler Road. The restoration plans are nearing completion, and the emergency stream permit has been filed with the Department of Environmental Protection. The project is anticipated to go out to bid by mid-Spring. Learn more.
