Entercession E-MAIL

We have been so blessed to minister to leaders from across Russia in 2016. I was brokenhearted when I received this urgent prayer request. So many of the strategies we established for evangelism during that training are under direct attack by this legislation. When I received this request my immediate response was to write back to ask "May I please include this in my Thursday E-intercession?"
Their immediate response was, "Can you please send it today, tomorrow may be too late! "

Dear Prayer Partners,

Tomorrow, June 29, a new law will be voted on in the Federal Counsel to suppress all evangelism and missionary work within Russia.

This law was already passed in the Duma this past Friday. If the Federal Counsel approves of this new law tomorrow and President Putin signs it, then it will be very difficult for the Gospel to go forward.

Please take some time today and pray with us that this repressive law will not go into effect. Please pray that President Putin will not sign it. Thank you!

Russia's most repressive legislation. Christians are praying and fasting

MOSCOW (RUSSIA) - On Friday, June 24, 2016, Russia's State Duma approved a final package of several anti-terrorist laws suggested by Deputy Irina Yarovaya and Senator Viktor Ozerov.

It has already been recognized as some of the harshest and most repressive legislation in post-Soviet history that Russian lawmakers voted on. The bill revises dozens of existing laws in ways that could have profound consequences for people living in Russia. It broadly expands the state's powers, tightening the controls placed on citizens and limiting the civil rights guaranteed by the Russian Constitution. Russia's authorities will gain the power to access every single telephone conversation and email that crosses Russia's telecommunications lines.

Among other restrictions, “Yarovaya's legislation” tightens regulations on Russia's religious life, creating a thoroughly broad definition of missionary work,

- Three suicide bombers opened fire then blew themselves up in Istanbul's main international airport today, killing 50 people and wounding close to 150 in what Turkey's prime minister said appeared to have been an attack by Islamic State militants. Ataturk is Turkey's largest airport and a major transport hub for travelers from around the world. Pray for families and those who have been tragically impacted by this attack.

We have traveled through Atakurk airport many times and were amazed at the stringent security measures employed there. It just demonstrates that “except the Lord send his angels to surround us,” human efforts are futile in the face of the violence of this closing age of time.

This attack comes after 2 explosions, one caused by a suicide bomber, rocked  the departure hall at Brussels Airport & killed 10 people in March. It points to the the danger we face every time we fly.

I will fly through the same Brussels Airport on my way to Burundi in July, but we are confident in God’s protection and are grateful for your prayers.

"Men, you should have listened to me and not have set sail from Crete and incurred this injury and loss. Yet now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. Acts 27:21-22

Paul never blinked when disaster came. Consider the scene:

They'd been without food for a long time, Paul stood up spoke, "For this very night there stood before me an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I worship, and he said, “Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar. And behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.” So take heart, men, for I have faith in God that it will be exactly as I have been told. But we must run aground on some island’” (Acts 27:21-26,).

I have a hard time hearing. “Your ship is about to crash? Whoa, Lord, what’s happening here?”
What would you do if you were told your ship was going to sink? How do you react when your calling is threatened by circumstances beyond your control?

Many have an identity crisis because our identity is wrapped up in our calling—whether family or work or even ministry. Our ship can be our home, our new car, our kids’ success at sports, or a hundred or more other things.

Though we should thank God for the ships in our life, none has equal value to Christ and the callng He has given us. Our identity cannot be in anything other than Christ. Paul knew this, and even as his ship splintered into pieces, He never took his eyes off his calling, which was Christ.

Paul was calm through the storm. He was concerned for all on board, even the disobedeint and rebellious. He had God’s assurance that all would be spared, but they had to be willing to sacrfice the ship. Someone’s precious ship was about to go down, but Paul encouraged them all, “We are to press on.”

If God has called you to something, it doesn’t matter what storms may arise, what the threats of terrorist bombing in the airports, what the menace of extremism, , . He says, “It is not over. When everything seems out of control, I am in control. Do not give up! GO ON!

As we are packing and preparing to leave for Slovakia, please keep the team at Slovakia Teen Challenge in prayer.

Stanislav, Lubor and the team will be heading to the streets this week, passing out flyers in preparation for the street outreach and ministry. As we pack, edit video, and work in the studio finishing up Slovakian music tracks, we appreciate your prayers. There is such a wonderful sense of expectation that from the airport to Vienna to Slovakia, God is going to do a wonderful work.

On a positive note, as we things see things getting so much worse around the world, I wanted to
share this behind the scenes look at the SOS Festival in Africa. Only 200 people viewed the
video in the last E-ntercession and I am sure it will bless you. It is a stunning testimony of the
power of God and I would love for you to see it. I pray that it will be a tremendous encouragement
as we pray about the challenges we face around the world.
Come behind the scenes with Cathy and I with Johannes Armritzer at the SOS Signs and Wonders Festival
and join us on the street for the miracles of
Kampala, Uganda.
Please pray for us as we assemble our team for the MISSION SOS in Bujumbura, Burundi. Do you speak Kirundy? Why not join us. We will again join Johannes Armritzer and MISSION SOS along with over 200 Missionaries from around the world. We are believing God for 20 to 30,000 people for each evening service--80,000 by the final night. PRAY WITH US! JOIN US.

Pray with us for the global advance of the gospel. Pray for workers for the Harvest ...Teen Challenge Centers in 115 countries need staff and we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in over 32 nations. They are crying out for help. They need the power of God to meet a pressing social need... but we know it has a SPIRITUAL ROOT.
MATTHEW 9: 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

We do not receive salary nor travel expense from Global Teen Challenge. Your gift in June and July is so important during the summer season when income is down for us. We have a challenging travel schedule with opportunities in Slovakia, Africa, and Fiji. Not only that, your gift can help us to make it possible for leaders from across Africa to join us in Bujumbura, Burundi for the Mission SOS Festival of Signs and Wonders.
