The McKinney Celtic Music Festival
Thirty bands perform over three days in downtown McKinney, featuring headliner Cleghorn (shown). Sponsors include TUPPS Brewery, Franconia Brewing, North Texas School of Music, Guitar Sanctuary, Canine Cookie Company, Filtered Coffee, Bamboo Grove Creative, and urNameonit.com. No cover charge. Donations welcome to benefit local charities. Three locations: The Celt, 100 N. Tennessee; Dempsey's Place, 310 E. Louisiana; and Filtered, 218 E. Louisiana. 
Flattery or Forgery? Kim Guthrie Art
Kim Guthrie Art presents a showing of her talent that includes paper mache’ sculpture, oil paintings and the people that inspired them! This show, Flattery or Forgery, is a just a sneak peek into Kim's heart and mind and the some of the people and art that are inspiring her along the way. Friday-Saturday, 6-9 p.m.; Sunday, 2-4 p.m. At The Cove, 402 N. Tennessee.

(Saturday)  The Miles for the Mounted Patrol 5K/10K is a fundraiser for the mounted unit of the McKinney Police Department. Join us for music, snacks, and a certified race course. Come enjoy snacks, drinks, free hot dogs, live music, and meet the mounted patrol police officers and their horses. At Cockrill Middle School, White/Hardin.
Texas Flood and Maylee Thomas Band Concert (Saturday)
The Guitar Sanctuary presents a special double bill with Tommy Katona and Texas Flood and the Maylee Thomas Band. Doors open at 7 p.m.; music from 8-11:30 p.m. VIP Tables for 4 directly in front of the stage, $150 per table; downstairs seats, $25; general admission (standing room only, upstairs balcony), $15. Bar, food service available.

Bottles & Brushes (Friday)
Honor or memorialize someone that has been impacted with cancer by adding their spirit to the bottle tree. Paint a message and or image(s) on a wine bottle just for them to be forever displayed on TUPPS’ Bottle. $10 per bottle; proceeds go to a local charity. Ages 18+ welcome. No experience required. All supplies provided. 6-9 p.m.

Second Saturday Art Show (Sunday)
Join us at TUPPS Brewery the Second Saturday of every month for our local art show! Artists in the North Dallas area show off their work and sell pieces at the brewery. Come out and support local! Free admission. Brewery tour every Saturday at 12:30pm and live music from 1-4 p.m. Food trucks onsite.
Tucker Hill PorchFest (Saturday)
This free event will feature live bands staged on at least six of Tucker Hill’s quaint front porches that surround & lead to the community’s central park area, known as Founders Square. Guests can also peruse a pop-up Artisan’s market with almost 20 vendors, enjoy a complimentary wine tasting hosted by Mitas Hill Vineyard, & grab a gourmet burger slider from Arete’s food truck followed by a cold treat from Rita’s Italian Ice. Bring blankets or chairs to set up and enjoy not only the porch bands, but also the main stage concert. 5-9 p.m.

Nature Story Time (Friday)
Story times are designed for young children, introducing a different nature-themed book each week. 30-45 minutes depending on the book. 10:30 a.m.

Native Texas Butterfly House & Garden (Opening Saturday)
Walk among free-flying native butterflies and other pollinators in our Native Texas Butterfly House & Garden, which opens for its summer season on Saturday. This exhibit is open only during regular operating hours.

2nd Saturday Bird Walk (Saturday)
These bird walks are designed to help beginning and intermediate birders with bird spotting and ID techniques. No reservations are required, but you must arrive on time (8 a.m.). This walk is included in general admission and is free for Heard Museum members.

Zip Line Day (Saturday)
Guests climb a 23 ft. tree to our zip platform then proceed to a 487 ft. zip line. Purchase one ticket ($12 each) for each time you would like to travel down the zip line. Pre-reservations required; available online. 1-4 p.m.
