FOR HEALTHY, SUSTAINABLE FOOD, YOU NEEDN'T GO MUCH
FURTHER THAN YOUR COMMUNITY OR YOUR OWN BACKYARD

Dear --FNAME--,

Welcome to mid-August edition of VEGOUT - a local food newsletter! August is an amazing time of year for local food (hello tomatoes and corn!). Food is so much fresher and better for you and the environment when it doesn't travel half way around the world to get to you!

This installment of VegOut! encourages you to plant now for a fall harvest, visit Delicious Gardens in Bedford Hills to learn about a winter harvest, and try this simple recipe for Mexican Lasagna that can be prepared with all those tomatoes, onions, cilantro, corn, peppers and chilis in season now!

Below you will also see local food events including festive galas and classes to get your organic garden started now (did you know the best time to put in a new garden is fall?).

Remember to Forward to a Friend VegOut to anyone who cares about local food or our environment. We know they will love being a part of the movement. and if you aren't already signed up (or want to change your B2020 subscription preferences), click here!

Your friends at Bedford 2020 and VEGOUT!

A testimonial from a member of Bedford 2020: "This is a really good price for a compost bin -- and it's a very good bin. I've used one for about 6 years and it looks as good as new."
