An important verse in the Bible, one from which all the others flow in one way or another, is Genesis 1:31: “God saw everything that God had made, and indeed, it was very good.”  Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the Festival of God's Creation, a day the United Methodist church sets aside to celebrate God's gracious work in creating the earth and all living things.  Pastor Clark's message, Sheep and other sheep, will have us thinking about this week’s lectionary readings - which includes John’s story of Jesus as the good shepherd.
A prayer for today:
Maker, Lover, and Keeper of all good things, for the ways in which you sustain us,
day in and day out, hear our thanks.  Amen.

Sunday's Message: Sheep and other sheep.
Sunday's Scriptures: Psalm 23 and John 10:11-18
Sunday's Announcements:  Read them here!
Sunday's Music:  Click here for a playlist of songs for the services.
Did you miss last Sunday's Message?  Hear it here! (Scroll to the bottom of the page.)

Stop into the Chapel this month for self guided prayer stations. The stations have been designed to emphasize our call to be good stewards of the earth, to recognize the beauty of our natural world and to give God all thanks and praise. Stop in anytime through April 30 for self-guided  prayer.

SATURDAY! Church Yard Clean Up Day
Look past the snow and you'll see that the flowers and trees are about to blossom! That means it's time for the spring grounds clean-up at the church this Saturday, April 21 at 8 am. Bring leaf rakes, garden rakes, hoes, shovels, pruners, gloves, etc. if you have them.  Many hands make light work, as we plant Easter flowers, clean the beds, weed and tidy up.  As always, the Trustees Committee appreciates everyone's help to get our grounds ready for warmer weather!  THANK YOU!

Speaking of Church Grounds...
Our summer mowing team will be forming soon, and we're looking for some servant hearts to dedicate about one day per month to cut the grass here at the church.  Melanie reports that she's been at the church through 8 summers and we haven't had much turnover on the mowing team.  Is it your turn to help?  Reply to this e-mail to learn more!

Hanging Baskets for Mother's Day Support YSP
We’re doing things a little differently for the 2018 Youth Service Project spring fundraiser. Kollman’s Greenhouse will handpick and design beautiful hanging baskets just for us!  They will artistically design combination baskets, specifically for sun or shade, with their healthy, locally grown plants.
Pre-order your plants to pick up on Saturday, May 12. Additional baskets will be available for purchase on Mother’s Day, May 13.  Prefer to pick out your own plants? We will have vouchers for Kollman's for sale on Mother’s Day!  Order forms in this Sunday's bulletin, or download here.

Red Geraniums for Pentecost Sunday (May 20)
Let’s fill the Sanctuary with red flowers as a symbol of the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost/Confirmation Sunday, May 20.  You can take your plant home after the service, or donate it to be planted in the church yard as a summer-long reminder of the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.  You can designate your plant in honor of memory of a loved one in the bulletin, too. Plants are $5 each.  Order form in Sunday's bulletin, or download here!

Volunteers are needed to help make our awesome week of Vacation Bible School a reality.  We are expecting 100 children participate again this year. • You can help decorate
  • Help with crafts
  • Help with snacks
  • Help shepherd the kids during VBS
