From the Garden Center
Many mainland garden centers are completely out of plants at this time of year - but not Bartlett's!
We know that some folks are just getting to the island and we have anticipated that you will want plants!
We grew extra hanging baskets, patio plants, vegetable and herbs starts for your own edible gardens and tons of annuals in 6" pots
(the 6" dahlias are 30% off!)
Our Blooming Creations staff is still busy planting
window boxes and containers!
Even if you are getting here late, we can still plants your pots for you!
It's time to fertilize - ornamental plants and vegetable plants can get their early summer feed of Neptune's Harvest liquid feed. Boost your plants with the nutrition they need!
When it comes to maintaining your garden,
we have what you need for that, too!
Clippers, watering cans, and all sorts of organic choices for
garden care can be found in the garden center.
Have a question?  Ask our very knowledgeable and experienced staff!  They are happy to help!
You Can Still Pick Your Own Strawberries Every Day!
Stop in the market to pick up picking containers and head out to the field! The strawberry field is open 8-6 every day until they are gone!

Tips for Storing Strawberries
If you can't eat them right away, store strawberries in the refrigerator whole and unwashed in a plastic bag until ready for use.
Tips for Preparing
Rinse strawberries thoroughly under cool running water and "hull" them by removing the stem, leafy cap, and white core. There are small devices for doing this (you can find one in the market), and
Mj likes to use the straw method. I use my thumb.
Freezing and Preserving
Freezing strawberries in bulk at peak season is the best ways to preserve their taste, if not their texture.  Hull them and freeze them individually on a cookie sheet, then transfer them a freezer bag.
They should last for 10-12 months in the freezer.
Only One More Farm Tours !

This year's event is in honor of the memory of Sally Roberts.
Sally was a great friend to MYNantucket and to the children of Nantucket.  A physical education teacher in the Nantucket's Public Schools for 34 years, ran and was the backbone of the Breakfast Buddies Program. She knew and clearly cared about each child and it was evident to anyone present that the children loved her in return.
