Dinosaurs Live! (Shown)
(Open thru Feb. 21) Encounter the 46-foot T-Rex and eight new life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the Heard Museum nature trails. Included in admission to the museum. Also on the sanctuary grounds: picnic area, pioneer village and Animals of the World Exhibit; more exhibits indoors. Open Christmas Eve until 3 p.m. Closed Christmas Day.
(Thru Jan. 10)
Approximately 100 teacups and saucers in 11 different pattern categories, many on loan from local McKinney families and from the Heard-Craig Heirloom China including Kathryn's own hand painted collections. Also included is an entire collection of Christmas pattern teacups. The teacups dating from 1900 - 1950 are displayed alongside current patterns. Complimentary tea tasting during your visit. Open daily (except Christmas Day) from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Requested $20 donation to cover the exhibit, the tour, the tea, and the Patterns informational brochure. Proceeds from the exhibit go toward maintaining this beautiful property. Heard-Craig Center for the Arts, 205 W. Hunt Street.
(Thru Dec. 30) Explore a vintage showcase of artifacts from Christmases past. For a list of exhibits, visit the CCHS website. Also, kids can drop letters to Santa in the North Pole Express delivery box at this historic post office. 300 E. Virginia. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. (Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.)
