Update from
The Holston Conference Strategy Team

June 29, 2017

We are pleased to announce that the 2017 Holston Annual Conference meeting at Lake Junaluska adopted the Comprehensive Conference Strategy Plan proposed by the Holston Conference Strategy Team.

We are very excited about the opportunity this presents for us to move together into the future in new, innovative and contemporary ways to bring people into a transformative relationship with Jesus Christ.

If you were in attendance at Annual Conference, you heard that one of the essential things to know about this Plan is that its implementation requires us to work together in shared mission and ministry.  In other words, we are all in this together!

Following the passage of this strategy plan, we have received many inquiries from persons eager to know how to get involved in the process.

In the next several weeks, we will be conducting outreach to collect information about your work and ministry.  The information you provide will not only be used to help discern guidance on the location and boundaries of the new districts and cultivation of new ‘missional hubs’ – but it will also give us a sense of the gifts, skills and experiences of persons with whom we will be collaborating to help generate the process of change that is underway in our conference.

We hope you will take time to share your thoughts with us over the next several months.  We are eager to involve as many people as possible in this shared calling to make disciples of Christ for the transformation of the world!

If you have not yet read the full Comprehensive Conference Strategy plan, you may find it on the Holston Conference website, strategy.holston.org .
