Our Fall CSA Starts This Week
CSA, Community Supported Agriculture, is a program where the local farmer offers customers fresh-picked produce weekly. The customer purchases a "share" of the season's harvest in advance. Essentially, the customer is buying a "share" of the produce and then the farmer provides the shareholder with farm fresh, locally grown produce for a certain period of time. A full share typically provides a week's worth of vegetables for a family of four.

Imagine a bag filled with our famous corn, crunchy carrots, crisp lettuce, delicious tomatoes, beautiful winter squash, and healthy baby kale... That's just an idea of what you will receive in your Early Fall CSA share. Enjoy any of these 9 weeks of locally grown, freshly harvested produce. You'll also get tasty recipes for the veggies you receive each week.

Beets Beets Beets

Beets are so very good for you! High in fiber and vitamin C, beets are packed with a lot of nutrients! This website has a ton of good information about beets.
But they taste really good, too.
Earthy and rich, beets make a great accompaniment to just about any meal.
You can steam them, boil them or roast them - they're good any way you cook them!

10/19 - Green Halloween

Time to dig out the loved and gently worn Halloween costumes from the back of the closet! Instead of buying a new costume this year, trade in your old ones at the

costume swap on Saturday October 19!

Bring those old (clean) costumes to the garden center beginning on Monday the 14th, and we will organize them and hold onto them until the swap on Saturday the 19th.

Come back on Saturday, and choose your new costume!

There is no fee to participate, and everyone is welcome on Saturday whether you have contributed or not.

Bring costumes and accessories for infants through adults and even pets!

Costume swaps mean fewer resources are used to make new product, less packaging, and less transportation of the product and
less waste going into the landfill.

Hours for drop-off are Monday, October 14 at 10am through
10am on Saturday October 13.

10/26 - 10-11 AM Pumpkin Carving in the Hayloft. Purchase a pumpkin in the market and take it up to the Hayloft to paint or carve! We'll take care of the clean-up!
