Introducing TrueTear™!
Matossian Eye Associates was selected as the first practice in the greater Delaware Valley area to introduce TrueTear™ as part of its Certified Dry Eye Center of Excellence.
TrueTear™ is an FDA-approved novel device to temporarily increase your own natural tear production with user-controllable neurostimulation.  TrueTear™ causes your eyes to produce natural tears using tiny pulses of energy with no pain whatsoever.

How it works:
  • The TrueTear™ tips stimulate a nerve in the nasal cavity with microscopic pulses of energy, sending out nerve signals to the brain.
  • The brain then sends nerve signals to the tear glands surrounding the eyes to temporarily increase tear production.
  • The glands surrounding the eyes react and temporarily produce real tears.

  • Drug-Free, Drop-Free Option
  • Produces A Complete and Natural Tear
  • No Loss In Effectiveness For Missed Treatments
  • Works Rapidly And Puts You In Control

For more information on TrueTear, make an appointment with Cynthia Matossian, MD, FACS, at Matossian Eye Associates to see if you can benefit from this new medical device.

Allergies or Dry Eye?
Many people experience ocular allergies or allergic conjunctivitis. Both of these conditions are often confused with dry eye, as many of the symptoms overlap. While both conditions carry many of the same symptoms, they each require a different treatment option. Thankfully, our team of eye doctors at MEA is very experienced in diagnosing and differentiating these two conditions with state-of-the-art ocular allergy and dry eye testing and recommending which treatment gets to the root of the problem so you can get back to enjoying the warm weather!
