The Marla Ceely Lamb Fund is a special fund which helps defray the costs of transportation and lodging for patients who must travel off-island for cancer treatment. Hundreds of patients suffering from cancer have been helped over the years, thanks to the fundraising efforts of Marla’s family and friends and the generosity of the Nantucket community.

In Case You Missed It...
At least 60 people came to last Saturday's Farm Talk to hear Joan Skar and Jeff Henderson talk about scalloping, and they were treated to an introduction by Leah Cabral, Assistant Biologist at Nantucket Natural Resources Department, who discussed the state of the scallop industry on Nantucket, and taught people how to tell a nub from an adult.

Jeff taught several folks how to open scallops, and Joan shared her delicious recipe for Scallop Ceviche.
It is possible that the season will be short, so get your scallops while you can, and you should really try making the ceviche! It's amazing!
Do you love Nantucket and
miss it in the off-season?
