Summer Interns Have Arrived

The Henry's Fork Foundation community welcomes six new interns this summer from universities across the country. Caryn Dawson (Iowa State University), Ashly Loibman (Colgate University), Bella Fucigna (Washington and Lee University), Natalie Pontikes (St. Lawrence University), Amber Roseberry (BYU-Idaho, not pictured), and Ilinca Popescu (Stanford University, not pictured) will assist HFF staff with crucial work this summer.

Interns will take part in projects ranging from a recreational use assessment of the Big Springs Water Trail to fencing, communications, and PhD Research on both the upper and lower river. Be sure to say hello if you see them out and about this summer!

Henry's Fork Days XXXV is Next Week

The Annual Henry's Fork Days XXXV is next week! At HFF's annual membership meeting on June 21st, we will share a complete recap of the previous year's work, including a snapshot of what's ahead.

Then join us Saturday, June 22nd, for silent and live auctions, delicious food, boat raffle drawing, and great company.  We look forward to seeing you there!

What You Might Have Missed - Special Highlight

Two New PhD Projects Begin on the Henry's Fork
Former HFF interns Jack McLaren and Christina Morrisett are beginning PhD research on two separate projects: one on the lower Henry's Fork and one on the upper river. Christina's work will look at how habitat changes with streamflow and how groundwater contributes to streamflow and cools water temperatures to inform water management at St. Anthony.

Jack's work aims to better understand the factors limiting fisheries production and overall ecosystem health on the Henry's Fork upstream of Island Park Dam (between Big Springs and the reservoir).

Learn more by attending our weekly summer seminar series, specifically June 25th (Christina) and July 2 (Jack).

2nd Annual Summer Seminar Series
