Four Funny Females

The Four Funny Females are back for a new season at the McKinney Performing Arts Center. A night with these funny ladies is more than a hilarious stand-up comedy show...it's a sisterhood on a mission to get women laughing, women who wouldn't ordinarily step foot in a traditional comedy club. Men are, of course, welcome too. Rated PG-13 for adult innuendo and observational comedy. General admission tickets are available online.

At the HEARD NATURAL SCIENCE MUSEUM & WILDLIFE SANCTUARY | 1 Nature Place

Guided Trail
Saturday | 2-3 p.m. | $10 child; $13 adult
Experience the ecology, geology, flora and fauna of the Heard Sanctuary. Led by trained guides, the group will spend 45-60 minutes hiking the unique landscape. Register onlineMuseum admission included in guided trail cost. Private group tours available for groups of 10 or more; contact the Heard for details.

Dinosaurs Live
Til Feb. 18 | Included w/admission
Encounter the 46-foot T-Rex and nine other life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the nature trails. The exhibit gives families a fun, educational activity to enjoy, and makes for great photos. Kids will enjoy the play area and the outdoor fossil dig. Some trails are jogger stroller friendly. (Photo by casajackson)

Upcoming class at Heard Museum:
Become a Master Naturalist
Register thru Feb. 6 | Class Feb. 13-May 8 | $150 course fee
The Blackland Prairie Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist program, based in McKinney, is seeking applicants interested in becoming Texas Master Naturalists; application deadline is Feb. 6. Classes will be held at the Heard Natural Science Museum from February 13—May 8. Class participants must complete 40 hours of natural resource training, participate in three class field trips, and finish eight hours of advanced training and 40 hours of volunteer service within their first year in the program. Youth: The Future of Art
Friday-Sunday | The Cove, 402 N. Tennessee | Free
Hosted by the Art Club of McKinney, this Collin County Student Art Show showcases the work of high school students. The awards reception takes place Friday, 7-9 p.m. Show hours are Friday, 2-9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Classics on the Square
Saturday | 7:30-10:30 a.m.| Free
The Morning Maniacs car and motorcycle enthusiasts will show their vintage cars and more around the McKinney Performing Arts Center. Come check out the vehicles then stay for breakfast and shopping.

Yoga and Craft Beer

Bring your yoga mat for a free class (all ability levels welcome) then enjoy a beer or a pint of Kombucha after class. Stay for the free brewery tour at 12:30 p.m., live music from 1-4 p.m. and Empanada CookHouse Food Cart. Taproom closes at 5 p.m. for a private party.

Next Week: A Night of Artists & Chefs
Wed.-Sat. (Jan. 30-Feb. 2) | Gather in Downtown McKinney | 7 p.m.
Enjoy a one-of-a-kind art and food experience as part of a new TV series being filmed in downtown McKinney. A group of celebrated local artists will transform the historic Gather in Downtown McKinney interior into an “art cocoon” that envelopes guests in an immersive art installation. Three of McKinney’s finest downtown chefs will create a tasting menu that matches the room’s theme and colors, using seasonal local ingredients. Ticket sales end Jan. 27 to allow time to secure ingredients. Tickets available online.
