Third Sunday in Lent

Scripture: Luke 13:10-17

What does it mean to be crippled? The story of the healing of the bent over woman is found only in the gospel of Luke. In this story there are two bent and broken people. One has a bent and broken body. The other has a bent and broken spirit. Which do you suppose proves more challenging to heal?

Rev. René Jensen

Find the Refreshment That Comes Through Forgiving
with Pam Hamilton LSCSW LCSW
“The quality of human life is nothing more than the sum total of our daily interactions with one another. Forgiveness is the way we set those interactions right, it is the way we mend tears in the social fabric and stop our human community from unraveling”. -- Desmond Tutu

Forgiveness is a foundation of our faith, yet interpersonal forgiveness is an often mis-understood practice. Pam will de-bunk some forgiveness myths, share practical suggestions of how to forgive and address the difference between forgiveness and reconciliation. Drawing from her years helping people heal either in ministry or the therapy room Pam brings practical application to the topic of forgiveness.
Pam is a clinical social worker, prefers water over land, feels too young to have grandchildren and loves hanging out with her wife Mary.

Pastor's Class is our baptism and confirmation class designed for 5th through 8th graders. We explore what it means to be a Christian, to belong to God, and to be a member of the Christian community. If your child has not been baptized, or was baptized as an infant, this class, in which they are paired with a mentor from our congregation, will give them the opportunity to consider their beliefs, doubts, questions, and passions. Baptisms and confirmations will take place on Sunday, June 2. Classes start April 24, but we need early registrations so we can begin our planning and recruitment of mentors. Please contact Rev. Denise Dugan if you have questions or to register for the class.

VBS will be June 10-14, 2019. We’re super excited about our theme – To Mars and Beyond! Watch for more information coming soon!
