Winter 2019
“The feeling of helping the planet go green is really what the Corps is all about. Helping the community is what I enjoy doing. I can't wait to see what the future holds for me."

– Diego, Corpsmember

Corps Takes Time to be Thankful
Continuing our annual tradition, all the Corps staff and Corpsmembers gathered together on the Thursday before Thanksgiving to say thank you to one another for the hard work, commitment and teamwork everyone has put in over the past year.

Friends from accounting firm HCVT not only provided a generous contribution to help make the day possible, they also came out to help set up the event and serve a delicious meal to all 300 people in attendance.

Chef Alan Matheus of Craft & Culture provided the feast and beverages were donated by our friends at Reyes Coca Cola Bottling.

Rounding out the celebration was a raffle that included some wonderful items donated by REI and recognition of our Corpsmembers of the Year!

Transforming Youth. Enhancing Communities.
We're Social! Follow us:
The LA Corps is an environmentally focused youth development organization. We unleash the power of youth to restore the urban environment and preserve natural resources on the coast and in the forests and mountains surrounding Los Angeles. Corpsmembers make Los Angeles' underserved urban neighborhoods better places to live, work, learn, and play. They build parks and community gardens, plant trees, restore habitats, refurbish trails, clean alleys, recycle and work on other projects and more. In the course of restoring the environment for future generations, and serving the communities they live in, youth are empowered to chart their own courses out of poverty and toward a meaningful career through access to education, job training, and support services.   Tax ID # 95-4002138.
