“Ecosystems of California” YOUTH ART SHOWCASE

Youth, ages 4 – 18 will have the opportunity to exhibit their California Ecosystem themed art at the ENC’s Spring Faire on May 6, 2018

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., February 20, 2018 - The Environmental Nature Center (ENC) is presenting their 7th annual Youth Art Exhibit on May 6, 2018 from 10am-3pm. Youth, ages 4 – 18 have the opportunity to exhibit their "Ecosystems of California" themed art at the Environmental Nature Center’s Spring Faire. ​The exhibit is sponsored by Art Supply Warehouse and Saddleback College Fashion Design and Merchandising. For more info visit 

"Students are encouraged to choose a place that moves them in some way, and give us their best creative shot," said ENC Assistant Director Lori Whalen. "What could be more fun and satisfying than expressing ourselves through images of nature that explore and celebrate California’s incredible ecological diversity of plants, animals and landscapes and the people who work there, play there and care for them?"

Winners will be announced at the Spring Faire on May 6th, 2018. The first place prize in each category is a $50 Art Supply Warehouse gift card. The second place prize in each category is an Art Supply Kit donated by Saddleback College Fashion Program. The third place prize will be $25 gift cards donated by the Rotary Club of Newport-Balboa. All art submitted to the Youth Art Exhibit will be showcased at ENC’s Spring Faire on May 6, 2018.

Entries can be in any medium except film, and should depict the plants, animals, landscapes and/or people of a California ecosystem. The only restriction is that it must fit through ENC’s doorway. Entries will be accepted between Friday April 20 and Sunday, April 29 between 8 AM and 4 PM at the Environmental Nature Center: 1601 E. 16th St. Newport Beach.
