Each Fall season, our Garden Center staff head out to the woods to pick pine cones and collect and wash down buckets of gleaming Nantucket Bay Scallop Shells for our handmade Nantucket Wreaths. We offer these wreaths to have shipped to a loved one, or picked up in person.  You can also make your own wreath in one of our festive Wreath Workshops

Our Balsam Fir double sided wreaths are sourced from Maine and shipped fresh to Nantucket where they are hand-decorated with authentic Nantucket Bay Scallop Shells, natural Nantucket scrub pine cones, festive red cranberries & a red velvet bow.

Order your wreath before October 31st and enjoy 15 dollars off with the code WREATH2019

Farm Grown Goodies!
Getting to Know the Perfect Potato-
By some strange stroke of bad luck, potatoes over the years have developed a reputation for being "fattening" or unhealthy because they are "starchy".
In fact, starchy foods are a good source of energy and the main source of a range of nutrients in our diet. They contain fiber, calcium, iron and B vitamins.  Some folks think starchy foods are fattening, but gram for gram they contain fewer than half the calories of fat.

Really, it's all that butter, sour cream and bacon bits that are adding calories.

psst... these recipes here cut back on the fat but not on flavor!

Hot House Tomatoes have arrived!
Just in time for pasta season or get another batch processed for the long, tomato-less winter ahead... Follow this link for the easy way we do it!

Charming, Classy, Curvaceous Cabbage!

Our farm grown cabbage is so sweet and crunchy, it lasts forever and day in the veggie drawer and is dirt cheap! Cabbage can take so many delicious forms. Braised with bacon, caraway and vinegar, it's the perfect thing with a roast. A cold noodle salad is made complete with julienned cabbage & carrots, tossed with herbs, sesame seeds and peanut sauce. Get fancy by rolling steamed leaves of cabbage with rice, crumbled sausage and tomato sauce or channel your inner fraulein and try your hand at home made sauerkraut!
