Super Bowl Food

While some folks relish the idea of spending hours and hours preparing food for this weekend's big game,

others prefer to save time and use short cuts.

Regardless of your preference, you can find everything you need in the market to create delicious food for you and your guests.

Consider some pre-cooked shrimp from Nantucket Fresh Catch paired with Bookbinders or Old Cape Cod cocktail sauce.
All the work is done for you!

Or how about a delicious cheese plate featuring regional cheeses with marinated olives, assorted crackers, and local honey?

A quick survey of our staff revealed a few great choices!

Keeping Warm
While the winter has been pretty mild for us, it's still a good time for a fire in the fireplace, and a big pot of soup on the stove.
Stokes Firestarters can help you get the fire going, and
Rancho Gordo will provide the base for delicious hearty soups.
Both are available in the market!

Lebany Yogurt Cheese Spread,
Much care and time goes into the making of Sunrise Farms Lebany Yogurt Cheese Spread, giving it the creamy smooth texture of a good soft spread with the tangy nutlike flavor of premium yogurt.
Better known as Labne, this middle eastern treat is perfect on crackers, breads and toast. An added compliment to almost any dish. Thin with one part milk to make a perfect base for dips. Try it on a baked potato instead of sour cream. All-Natural - rBGH/rBST Free - Grade A Milk - 4 Major Live and Active Cultures - Made in New Hampshire

Come in to the market for a breath of spring...cut pussy willows and orchid/succulent gardens will be in later this week.
The pussy willows don't even need to go in water, but if you want to root them in water, that's ok too.

It's Citrus Season!

So many choices: Mandarinquats,
Key Limes, Blood Oranges, Pomelos, Meyer Lemons, Red Grapefruit, Naval + Cara Cara Oranges

Pomelos (aka pumellos) are the largest fruits in the citrus family. You can eat them just like grapefruit, and the flavor is similar, but different enough to make you say "Wow."  I cut one up and put it in a salad with arugula and some hazelnut vinaigrette.

This salad with Pomelos, chili, lime, peanuts and coconut sounds amazing! Recipe for Pumellos
