Sunday School
Have you ever been overcome by, or held on, to anger? Have your kids? In varying ways and frequencies, we all experience anger sometimes. We all may unknowingly be carrying the weight of some unresolved anger or grudge with us. This week in Sunday School, we'll explore Jesus' lesson to let go of anger to claim the healing of forgiveness.
Looking ahead . . .

Sunday, February 19th – Love Your Enemies
Sunday, February 26th – Do Not Worry Sunday
Our next Confirmation Class is Saturday, March 11 from 9am-12pm. While I had to miss Friday's Confirmation Dinner, I'm looking forward to having our whole teaching team together at this next class, where we'll begin exploring the Apostle's Creed and continue further in our "Papa Luther" comic books.
Youth Group
After a fun-packed weekend in the snow at our Ski/Snowboard Retreat, we're moving full speed ahead with new events this winter/spring. Our next Youth Night meeting is this Sunday from 6-8pm in the Youth Room. Following that, we have our big event co-sponsored by Pinecrest youth leadership ministry coming up on Friday, March 3 from 7-9:30pm. With Pinecrest's "Refugee Simulation" activity designed for youth, plus the opportunity to connect with new inspiring leaders, new leadership opportunities, and new Lutheran friends from throughout the NYC Metro area -- this special event is one you do not want to miss!
I hope all of you are staying safe and warm as we weather through the snow storm today. (And maybe some of you will even get to have some fun in the snow!) Looking forward to seeing you at Advent on Sunday!
