Anna Blount, Director of Research Services
Jeanne Liu has built her career in travel research and is passionate about bringing data to life and making it actionable. She manages Longwoods’ research staff, oversees all of Longwoods’ Travel USA® and ROI studies, and works closely with destination clients to help them utilize the data and insights to better understand their traveler.
Before joining Longwoods, she was the Vice President of Research at the Global Business Travel Association, (GBTA), the world’s premier business travel and meetings organization. Prior to GBTA, Jeanne was the Director of Consumer Research at Brand USA, the public-private partnership responsible for launching the United States’ first-ever nationally coordinated tourism marketing effort. Prior to that, she was a Senior Manager at Marriott International where she conducted qualitative and quantitative research for all of Marriott’s digital presence.
Anna Blount is Longwoods’ first Director of Research Services, where she manages client relationships, business development, and provides project oversight. She helps clients translate their research results into actionable insights, as well as working to drive forward Longwoods’ thought leadership through various public relations initiatives.
Before joining Longwoods, she was the Director of Market Research for MMGY Global, a leading integrated travel and hospitality marketing agency. Anna led the agency’s signature Portrait of American Travelers® syndicated research project for six years, authoring multiple reports based on the data on travel trends and potential visitor segments. While there, she also managed custom quantitative and qualitative research projects for a wide variety of destinations, hotel brands, and other travel service providers and supporting trade associations.
