Saturday-Sunday | Hours Vary by Day | $20-25
Six beautiful homes in McKinney will be decked out in their festive finery for this popular holiday event! Tour hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event; tickets are good for both days. 

Christmas on Chestnut
Saturday-Sunday | $10-30
Event hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10 per guest or $30 for a family of four. Enjoy storytelling, carolers, Santa, a train display, Dutch Oven cooking, blacksmithing and more. (All activities are included with home tour registration.)

  • Brunch available in the Bevel House on Sunday at 10 a.m. $10 in advance only.
  • Saturday Brunch and Tea events are both sold out.

Krakatuk: A Nutcracker Prequel

Start a holiday tradition with the original ballet Krakatuk: A Nutcracker Prequel. Krakatuk is a rollicking tale of mice, kings, the search for the hardest nut in the world, and the young man destined to become an enchanted toy Nutcracker. Narrated by the delightful Steve Iwanski-Sanchez, Krakatuk is entertainment for the whole family. Tickets available online.

Ringing in Christmas Family Concert

The McKinney Community Band rings in the holiday season with favorites Christmas music that will put you in the mood for welcoming this special time of year. And the kids will love our visitor from the North who'll be stopping by! Free tickets are available online.

 
AT HEARD NATURAL SCIENCE MUSEUM | 1 Nature PlaceDinosaurs Live
Heard Natural Science Museum, 1 Nature Place | Thru Feb. 18
Encounter the 46-foot T-Rex and nine new life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the nature trails. The exhibit gives families a fun, educational activity to enjoy together, and makes for great photos. See the dinosaurs move and hear them roar! Play area dinosaurs will be available as well. This year's exhibit also features an outdoor fossil dig. Nascency - Art Exhibit by Jesus F Moreno
Friday-Saturday | The Cove, 402 N Tennessee | Free
Jesús Moreno will be showing works from the “Figurative” and “Expressive” series, as well as, selective abstract pieces. Some of these works have been in process for several years, evolving, from the initial inspiration, to drawings, and finally creating the painting on canvas. The majority of these works have never been shown before. Friday, 5-9 p.m.; Saturday, 4-10 p.m.
