Commercial Investment Forum

March 20

The Bakersfield Association of Realtors

On Monday March 9th from 4:15 pm to 6:15 pm the Independence High School Energy and Utilities Academy will be holding its Investors Roundtable Business Proposals. Groups of Sophomore and Junior students are creating new business ideas and will make a pitch to a panel of judges in an interactive setting.

In small groups, judges listen to the students’ pitch, ask them questions, and weigh in with a final investment decision (think Shark Tank). The individual pitches are followed by an exhibit fair where judges can see and weigh in on all the projects. In the past this has been a very successful activity, due mostly to the involvement of our industry partners. The teachers want to bring real experiences to their students and need your help to do it.

Judges can register HERE or in the flyer to sign up. If you have any questions, please email Aaron Jacobson at
