New/Coming Soon McKinney Venues & Properties
Among the new and coming properties in McKinney are:

Moviehouse & Eatery: This just-opened entertainment venue also offers space for hosting both private and corporate events. Moviehouse & Eatery has wall-to-wall screens that create an exceptional visual experience, making it function well for any event including family reunions, class reunions, and fundraising events. Food for event rentals (sample shown at right) is provided by chefs in the venue's scratch kitchen. This new venue is located in the Craig Ranch area of McKinney near the development's Corporate Center.

Holiday Inn Express: OPEN SOON! (See lower right) Now under construction in Craig Ranch just off Alma and 121, this new Holiday Inn property has an anticipated completion date in late 2016. (Booking now for Dec. 1, 2016 and forward.)  It is located in close proximity to the Craig Ranch baseball, softball and soccer complexes, the Dr Pepper Star Center, Michael Johnson Performance Training Center, the Beach at Craig Ranch sports facility and the Cooper Fitness Center as well as the beautiful Piazza on the Green.

Fall 2016 in McKinney
The winter months in McKinney offer some interesting events as well as opportunities for unique Consider planning your meeting during one of these special McKinney events for an added memorable touch and for built-in entertainment for your group.

Dinosaurs Live (Just returned Sept. 17): McKinney's annual visitors, the T-Rex and several of his robotic prehistoric friends return this fall to the nature trails at the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary. The autumn months are typically so conducive to outdoor activities, including team building sessions or fun and challenging on the ropes course and zip line. The MCVB will assist you in facilitating a program designed specifically for your needs at this beautiful nature preserve, then enjoy a walk on the nature trails where you can commune with these life-sized prehistoric creatures!

Oktoberfest (Sept. 23-25): McKinney Oktoberfest is a family favorite, offering authentic German music, food and drink, traditional costumes, dancing, children’s activities and much more. McKinney's picturesque downtown square will fill with thousands of festival goers during the three-day event. Free admission.

Legends of McKinney Ghost Walk (October 22 and 29): Go hunting for ghostly legends around McKinney's historic district in this self-paced tour starting at Chestnut Square Historic Village. Ticket booklets provide maps of the sites and storytellers at each site share the legends.  Spooky fun and refreshments available at Chestnut Square each evening, Once you have your ticket booklet you can map out your route with stops in between for other fun and food!

Home for the Holidays (Nov. 25-27): This annual holiday festival kicks off the Christmas season on Thanksgiving Weekend. The historic downtown square, closed to traffic for the weekend, is transformed into a winter wonderland with music, food, dancing,
