Lutheran Congregational Services
Blue Christmas Service

December 15

3:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Emmaus. While the time up to Christmas is portrayed in popular culture as a time of merriment, for many that portrayal makes an already difficult season even more painful. Dealing with the loss of a loved one, difficult life transitions, dealing with the loss of a job or a difficult diagnosis and any number of other difficult life situations can make holiday festivities very painful. A Blue Christmas Service is a contemplative and gentle service for those who are carrying heavy burdens during this holiday season. The service is being coordinated in part by bereavement counselor for Lutheran Congregational Services, Sylvia Havlish. All are welcome.

Seeds Monthly

How will you welcome your friends and neighbors to worship this holiday season? To support your communication needs, we offer several invitational tools specifically for congregations. Add your congregation’s location and service times to customizable posters, social media images, postcards and more. The resources include Advent graphics and posters in English and Spanish, as well as three new invitation designs for Christmas.
