Legends of McKinney Ghost Walk

Saturday | Chestnut Square, 315 S. Chestnut | 6-10 p.m.

Features costumed storytellers, scavenger hunt, building tours, and paranormal presentations. Cost is $15 per guest. Overnight Paranormal Investigation begins at 9 p.m. 


(Ages 10 and under are not recommended to attend either event.)

YAG Presents: Paper Dragons

Friday-Sunday | Theater | 7:30 p.m. & matinees

Dr. Phillips, is determined to help the residents of Green Methods become well again. As she tries to connect with her patients, she discovers not all is as it seems. Friday-Saturday at 7:30 pm. Saturday and Sunday matinees. Tickets $6-12.


Vintage Piano Hour with Tony Stride
Thursday | MPAC Noble Hall | 6-7:15 p.m.
Mr. Stride's ivory-tickling will also feature
a CD release and unveiling of the season's artist in residence, Andrea Holmes and her Ragtime inspired artwork! Free. (Funded in part by the McKinney Arts Commission.)


Day of the Dog: Sona Knox
The Cove | 402 N. Tennessee | 6-9 p.m.
Sona Knox is a painter and potter and will be exhibiting her work that honors her beloved pets, Daisy and Rocket, the original Art House Art Dogs. She has also created an altar celebrating All Saints Day. The McKinney community is invited to bring photos of their pets and treats, or a new toy, in order to celebrate the lives of furry friends who love unconditionally. Pet toys will be donated to the SPCA. Free event.

Dinosaurs Live | Thru Feb. 18

Encounter the 46-foot T-Rex and nine new life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the nature trails. This year's exhibit also features an outdoor fossil dig. The trail is jogging stroller friendly.

Fall Landscaping | Saturday
Class is for homeowners and professionals. Level One class is open to all, as it's a prerequisite for all the other levels. Class includes both classroom instruction and fieldwork. $30-60. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. 

Nature Storytime | Friday

This weekly storytime focuses on nature-related stories to engage children in learning and an appreciation and care of nature. Included with general admission, 10:30-11 a.m.


Safari Shopping Night

Thursday | Start at Ettiene Market, downtown McKinney | 5-8 p.m.
Enjoy late night shopping, free drinks, and prizes to be won from over 20 participating shops in Downtown McKinney. "Sip, shop & win!" while exploring the square during extended shopping hours. The event host is Ettiene Market, 115 W. Louisiana. 


AT THE SANCTUARY MUSIC & EVENTS | 6633 Virginia in Adriatica

Doors open at 7 p.m.; music begins at 8 p.m. Bar & food service available.

An Evening with Adrian Legg | Thursday  

The Guitar Sanctuary presents an evening with Adrian Legg. The concert includes two intimate 45-minute sets with a brief intermission. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $100 for tables of four. 

Derek Anthony Give-Back Concert | Friday
Enjoy a special concert with Derek Anthony and special guest Julia Hatfield benefiting two Children's Charities, with a donation made to each for every ticket sold. Tickets range from $10 to $150.

This Second Adult Spelling Bee, presented by the McKinney Public Library System, is for contestants must be 21 or older.) Register online. Rib-Billies food truck will be serving BBQ. 

Halloween Party

Thursday | 7-10 p.m.
Don your best costume for the 4th Annual TUPPS Halloween Party and Costume Contest from 7-10 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes. Dancing music provided by a deejay.
