“A merry Christmas, uncle! God save you!” cried a cheerful voice. It was the voice of Scrooge’s nephew, who came upon him so quickly that this was the first intimation he had of his approach.

“Bah!” said Scrooge, “Humbug!”

Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol

Now Playing - A Christmas Carol

Dickens' classic tale is a heartwarming and timeless story of joyful redemption. Ebenezer Scrooge, whom we meet at the height of his wealth and success, has turned into a bitter, lonely, old miser. His only companion, apart from his tired and meek servant, Bob Cratchit, is his cold dark spirit; that is, until the spirit world, led by his former business partner, Marley, forces him to see who he was before his success, who he has since become and who he could be.

In it's 12th year, our annual production of A Christmas Carol is key to supporting VCS year round.  Join us and make A Christmas Carol a part of your holiday traditions.  Tickets can be purchased online or at the door - book online to guarantee seats as we do sell out, especially towards the end of the run. Click here to buy tickets.

VALLEY CENTER STAGE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Valley Center Stage is seeking a dynamic, high-energy, seasoned Artistic Director who enjoys wearing multiple hats, loves to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand, is willing to push the creative envelope while understanding and delivering on the interests of the community, and knows how to help take our theater to the next level of success.

About Valley Center Stage

We are a small community theater, established in 2003, and have been bringing theatrical arts to the greater Snoqualmie Valley communities and eastside suburbs of Seattle for 17 years. We are now stepping into our next phase of growth. Our current show season kicks off in the fall and runs through to summer with five main shows, including a variety of comedies, drama, musicals, and Shakespeare plays. The season is complemented with a handful of staged readings, kids’ shows, community fund raisers, and summer workshops. Valley Center Stage currently resides on the top floor of the North Bend Masons’ Unity Lodge in downtown North Bend, WA and is a nonprofit organization, staffed and supported by unpaid volunteers. A Board of Directors oversees the theater and meets the first Wednesday of every month.

Position Summary

The Artistic Director (AD) is ultimately responsible for all aspects of productions and planning for each Valley Center Stage (VCS) season. The AD will work with the Managing Director (MD), Technical Director (TD), Marketing Director, Show Directors, and Production Teams to see that each show is fully staffed and set up in all aspects to deliver great performances and a successful show season.

Origami Crane Earrings

As a fundraiser for VCS, we will have origami crane earrings as a gift to anyone who donates $10. Labor and materials have been donated by the makers so the entire donation will go to VCS. The donations will be earmarked and the money will be used either to seed a capital fund that the board is considering starting, or it will be added to the Rainy Day fund.  Either way, your donation will be set aside to help ensure that Valley Center Stage can continue to bring live theater to the Snoqualmie Valley.
