Thank you to everyone who brought in recyclable items that we will be turning in to craft and building projects this summer!  We have collected plenty and the kids will have a blast turning them into something new, so you can go back to recycling your recyclables!

We are still collecting composition books and pens for the residents at Phoenix House. The volunteer who is working with them wants you to know that journaling has become such an important activity to the men living there. They are so surprised and very thankful that members of the community want to help in their recovery.

We are not accepting book donations at this time. The Clark Library in Richmond (off of Rt 112) is currently accepting donations in good condition, in covered boxes if you are looking to donate. There is also a collection bin at the Exeter Animal Shelter on Rt 2 for used books.

Free Table
There have been some great finds out on the Free Table lately, but also a lot of things we end up throwing away. It's been taking up a lot of staff time. Please don't bring anything you were going to throw away. Bring things that you would give to a friend.

The following items are no longer welcome on the table.
ClothingThe clothing becomes very messy and unmanageable. Anything good gets buried in the mess and we end up bagging it all and donating it.  Please save us this step and find somewhere taking clothing donations yourself.
Liquids  - The children who use the library are very curious. Any liquid, like cleaning supplies, make up or perfume is very dangerous out there. We immediately throw away anything we find like that.
Books with Writing in them  - While your children haven't colored all the pages or used all the stickers in the activity book, no one else is going to want to finish their work. They end up in our recycling bin.

Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng

"Lydia is dead. From the first sentence of Celeste Ng’s stunning debut, we know that the oldest daughter of the Chinese-American Lee family has died. What follows is a novel that explores alienation, achievement, race, gender, family, and identity--as the police must unravel what has happened to Lydia, the Lee family must uncover the sister and daughter that they hardly knew. There isn’t a false note in this book, and my only concern in describing my profound admiration for Everything I Never Told You is that it might raise unachievable expectations in the reader. But it’s that good. Achingly, precisely, and sensitively written. --Chris Schluep"
