Help Us Restore the Grotto! ![]()
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY GIVEN, THANK YOU! WE HAVE RAISED $5,450 SO FAR--HELP US REACH OUR $7,000 GOAL If you have been to Holy Mass at Cardome, you may have noticed that the Grotto near the front lawn is getting much-needed repairs and restoration. The stone work has been restored and Mother Mary is back in place! However, the "pond" and fountain in front of the grotto was unable to be repaired due to severe damage and water leaks. In order to make the Grotto a place of beauty once again, it was necessary to dismantle and fill in the water feature in order to place gravel in front of the Grotto. The next phase of this project will include covering the graveled and patio area with a 4-1/2" slab of exposed aggregate concrete which will incur a cost of $7,000.00. This will make the space usable for peaceful prayer and outdoor worship with plans in the future including building an altar, creating a walking Rosary path, and upgrading the existing landscaping. We are asking for donations for the Grotto project so that we can continue to create this outdoor worship space for all to enjoy. We ask that you prayerfully consider donating any amount possible to this project by placing an envelope in the collection at the 10am Sunday Mass that is marked "Cardome Grotto Project". You may also drop off donations to the Parish Office. Thank you to those who have already donated. We appreciate your generosity!
We would like to thank the following people who have graciously given of their time, talent and treasure to make this project a reality: Pat Galvin, John Carter & his family, Joe Laco, Joey Laco, Dave LaBelle, Jim Kaulig, Carlos Naranjo and his team who did all the masonry work, Richard Hamilton who donated the rock, Don Hawkins who helped with electrical, and Father Linh who helped make it possible.

New Videos will be emailed out on Sunday afternoons & can also be viewed on the homepage of the SSFJ Website.
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Good Shepherd to bring CHRIST IN MY HOME Ministry to SSFJ! Each week, a short video (no more than 10 minutes!) will be sent via email and posted on our SSFJ website. The videos will help you prepare for the following week's Gospel along with practical ideas for building your "domestic church". This ministry is for every household whether single, married or with children!

![]() Whether it’s a loss of employment, kids worrying the heck out of you, a spouse who is sick, or any other challenge or loss, sometimes it’s helpful to have a companion. Wouldn’t it be nice to have an “ear” that doesn’t judge – that has no agenda or timetable, someone who can keep a confidence – just to not be so lonely while working things out? Someone who trusts God – but also trusts you-- to work your situation out in your own time? That’s what Stephen Ministers do – they respectfully join you in your journey, listening and offering confidential support and encouragement.
