WASHINGTON, DC December 13, 2016 - NCSEJ welcomes the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week to the Republics of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Both countries are important allies of Israel, the United States, and the Jewish community.

This trip marks the first time PM Netanyahu has visited Azerbaijan since 1997, and the first ever visit by a sitting Israeli Prime Minister to Kazakhstan. During his two-day visit, Prime Minister Netanyahu will meet with the Jewish communities in the respective capital cities of Baku and Astana.

NCSEJ Chairman Daniel Rubin and NCSEJ CEO Mark B. Levin said about the visit, “We hope these meetings between Israel and Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will continue to strengthen the important strategic and economic relationship that exists with these two key Muslim-majority countries.”
