Stop by the membership desk to pick up the Parent packet and registration form.  We are at the  following schools:  Aquadale, Badin, Endy, Locust, Richfield and Stanfield.  Transportation to Y Pavilion will be available for Central, East Albemarle  and Millingport.

NEW POOL SCHEDULES AVAILABLE - The pool schedules for both the warm and cool water pools will be active through October 15th. Be sure to check at the Membership Desk for your copy. Remember to utilize the mobile app for up-to-date schedules. Please view the new swimming pool policies to ensure your safety.

ASSISTANT SWIM TEAM COACH-  We are accepting applications for an assistant swim team coach, preferably with collegiate swimming experience. Please contact Swim Team Director, Hannah Hawkins, for more information. Applications are available at the membership desk or online.

​​​​​​​HIRING CHILDCARE STAFF-  We are currently hiring for night and weekend staff for Minnie's Place and High 5. Please contact Stephanie Campbell for more information.

SUNDAY RESERVATIONS FOR CHILDCARE-  Minnie's Place and High 5 will be open on Sundays from 2:30pm-3:30pm.  Reservations must be made by 3:00pm on Saturday.  Also, remember for Monday morning, reservations must be made by Sunday at 4:00pm.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT THE Y - Looking for somewhere to host a birthday party for your child? The Y currently offers six options for birthday parties. Dates in January are booking up. Check out our party options and contact Kelley Bigger to book yours!

This 6 week class will incorporate mobility work, dynamic core exercises, linear and lateral speed and agility, all while emphasizing injury prevention and proper technique. Any athlete, regardless the sport they play, could benefit from this type of training.  We want to welcome Brett Fraley as the program instructor.  Along with a Bachelors of Science in exercise science from UNCC, Brett is a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). 

Registration for teen members, ages 11-14, will open on Monday, September 25th. Classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 5:30-6:30pm from October 10-November 16th.  The cost is $50 per teen. Space is limited. 
SANITIZING WIPES- We are thrilled to display our new sanitizing wipes throughout the building. These wipes are replacing the blue cleaning towels in the fitness area. We are slowly transitioning from the blue cleaning towels to the sanitizing wipes. The next time you are at the Y, please use these wipes to clean the fitness equipment after use.

PERSONAL TRAINING- Get stronger with us and raise your personal fitness to a new level.  We have certified trainers to help you meet your fitness goals.  Personal training is only $30 per hour session.  Purchase 5 sessions and get one FREE!  Appointments are available.  Contact Derrick Almond for additional information.

NEW AND IMPROVE MOBILE APP-  We will be launching a new and improved mobile app on Monday, September 25th.  If you are already using our Stanly County Family mobile app, you will just need to update this version on the 25th. For those members that have not added this app to your smart phone, September 25th is the best time to check the app out.  Some new features included in the new app will be that ability to scan in using multiple bar codes.  This is a great feature for families.    

2017 PROGRAM GUIDE is now available!  

GUEST PASSES- Each Adult member will receive one guest pass per month. Each guest must complete a guest waiver, provide picture ID and accompany the member at all times.  Teens, ages 16 and older, may also receive one guest pass per month for guests ages 16 and older, with proper ID.  Guests may only come 3 times in one year as a guest.

2nd Grade Learn to Swim -This program provides a 10 day Learn to Swim program to all Stanly County Schools second graders.  Through this program, the Y hopes to reduce the risk of drowning in children across Stanly County.
PICKLEBALL LEAGUE-  This is the last week for the late summer Pickleball league.  The Fall league registration is now OPEN. This league will begin the week of October 2 and go through November 21st.  The cost is $15 for members and $45 for non-members. Space is limited so register now.
T-BALL- Practices will still be held on Tuesday and Thursday this week. There will be no games on Saturday, September 23rd.
