Preparing for Assembly: Synod Governance Proposal

Attending Synod Assembly? Organizing those who are attending from your congregation?


Voting members will consider action on a Synod Governance Proposal during the very first session at this year’s assembly. To help members of the assembly prepare to consider this action there are a variety of resources to help understand the proposal.

Lutheran Lakeside New Executive Director
Lutheran Lakeside has completed it's search and Brittany Swanson who served as Director of Youth and Family ministries at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church has been selected as the Executive Director. See the full announcement here

Add Your Input: Draft ELCA Inter-religious Policy Statement
From now until the end of June, individuals and groups across the ELCA are invited to participate in responding to the draft ELCA policy statement, "A Declaration of Our Inter-Religious Commitment." 

Please consider how you might take the lead in sharing this invitation and in convening people to participate in the process in your particular ministry setting. 

You can download the draft policy statement and participate in the online survey. On page 5 of the statement, you will find tips and ideas for participating.

Professional Development and Cultural Immersion Trip with Grand View University​​​​​​​
Explore and enjoy two very different and diverse cultural and historical experiences by joining a Grand View University sponsored professional development and cultural immersion trip to Dubai and India in March 2019. The estimated cost of this all-inclusive trip is approximately $4,800.
