Take the Sauk Rapids, MN exit, which is Benton Drive. At the top of the ramp go left. Follow that to Summit Ave S and go right. Go to the first stop sign, 1st Street S, and go left. Take this to the stoplight, Benton Drive, and go right. Follow Benton Drive through one stoplight. Just after you pass the Dairy Queen, keep an eye out for the Municipal Park entrance on your left.

Parking will be located on the baseball field near the start line. Turn right after crossing the railroad tracks when entering the Municipal Park. After 8:00am, parking will be staged in the Municipal Park lot.

You may pick up your packet Saturday morning from 6:30am until 8:30am in the shelter at the Municipal Park. Your race packet consists of your race bib number, timing chip, and   T-shirt,

Your wristband is color-coded and is to be placed on your left wrist. 5K-Red; 10K-Yellow; Half Marathon-White.

It appears that the weather will be perfect on race day. However, the race will not be cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather. In the event of severe weather, all attempts will be made to delay the race rather than cancel any portion of it. For those racers driving in from outside the Sauk Rapids area, keep in mind that we can have drastically different conditions, for the better or worse, than what you might encounter when first waking up at home and selecting your clothing.

Restrooms will be available on site at the Municipal Park. Two porta-potties will be located on the course: One at the 3.5 mile mark going out along River Ave S and one at the 6.25 mile mark, which is by the Greenhouse where runners enter onto the trial at Riverside Park.

There will be multiple water stations: 5K turnaround, 10K turnaround, miles 5, 6.5, 8, and 10. Powerade will be at the 10K turnaround, miles 6.5 and 8. Basic first aid kits will be available at each water station.

If you need it, medical personnel will be on hand to help whether it is a Band-Aid, an ice pack, or an emergency. They will be located in a tent near the finish.

There will be a great spread of post race recovery food available, which is for registered participants only. Racers must have their wristband. Respectfully, please do not share the participant refreshments with friends, family, or spectators so that we do not run out before each racer gets food.

All racers are encouraged to stay for the awards ceremony. All age group winners must be present to claim their prize and have their photo taken for the website. Awards Ceremony Schedule: 10:00 am – 5K & 10K. 11:00 am – Half Marathon.

Please find a race official for any key questions, as many volunteers may not be fully briefed to answer your question. Race officials will be wearing a blue T-shirt with Graniteman Staff on the front and RACE OFFICIAL on the back. Please remember to take a moment to thank our wonderful hardworking volunteers as they are the ones who make this event possible.
