The ‘Sleep’ in Our Eyes
We have all woken up in the morning at one time or another with that ‘gunk’ in our eyes.  Whether you call it eye discharge, sleepers, eye mucus, or eye boogers, this build-up is natural.  This ‘sleep’ in our eyes is a collection of mucus, cells, oil, and debris from the tears that form at the corners of our eyes during sleep. This discharge actually serves to remove potentially harmful debris from the front surface of our eyes....

A Personal Message from Dr. Posner
A big hello to all of our wonderful patients!  It is hard to believe that fall is already here! Myself, my husband Josh, and our 16-month-old daughter Charlotte have been busy soaking up as much fresh air as we can before the cold hits.  Still new to walking, Charlotte wants to be outside 24/7, practicing her strut as she collects leaves and looks for pumpkins.  We are having so much fun watching her grow.

We have also just returned from our first vacation as a family of three.  We braved a long road trip with our little girl up to the beautiful coast of Maine and Acadia National Park.  What a breathtaking state to visit!  Though clearly not a fan of long car rides, Charlotte loved hitting the trails in her hiking backpack, watching seagulls fly by, and collecting rocks along the shore.  Ah, the simple things in life!  She definitely inspires us every day to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the beauty all around us.

Wishing a slow and beautiful autumn season to all of you as well.
