St. Irenaeus said “Those who sing pray twice.” In this interview Fr. Soney Sebastian talks with Grayson Warren Brown, a famous liturgy composer, about how this is true.
Grayson talks about his early years and how music became his life. He relates how an Aretha Franklin concert convinced him that good music gets you to “feel”.
After fifty years of traveling the world and working in churches of many voices, celebrating different styles and cultures in music, Grayson feels that he found the common thread. He has put all this in a new CD entitled "Praise the Lord."
For him singing is like cheering – you put your whole heart, soul and body into the experience. Grayson also authored a book: "The Transformative Power of Faith."
