Join us for 3 days of learning, networking, and more than a little fun as we explore the fair that sells over $51 million in food to almost 2 million guests in just 12 days!

If you've been on a Feature Fair Tour before, you know this event is a must (and are probably one of the many that have already registered!). If you haven't joined us for one of these amazing trips, there's no better time to start than with a trip to the legen-dairy (yes, they carve faces out of butter) Minnesota State Fair!

The California Department of Tax & Fee Administration has released information regarding the upcoming reporting requirement for sales on state-designated fairgrounds.

This reporting requirement takes effect July 1, 2018

WFA has developed several short (40 second) videos along with a one-page sheet to help ensure sales are reported properly.

This is NOT a new tax and serves to help improve California's network of fairs

The Blue Ribbon Foundation - WFA's charitable arm - produces an annual All Access report, highlighting activities occurring at fairgrounds that bring their communities together in inspiring ways. Past reports have included the veterans projects, fairgrounds serving in response to natural disasters, and unique fundraisers.

This year, we want to hear from you! Have a project that you'd like to share with the industry? Email Chris Pickering with a one-paragraph description of your submission. If selected, you will be asked to provide high-resolution photographs to be included in the magazine.

May is California Fairgrounds Appreciation Month, and we're excited to continue to display an exhibit outside the Governor's office May 14-18, as well as support the much-loved fair-themed legislative reception hosted by Assemblymember Bigelow.

Fair CEOs and Directors from around California will gather in Sacramento to meet with their respective legislators during our 2nd Annual Capitol Fairgrounds Day May 15.

A detailed schedule of the day's events is available on our website. Stay informed by joining the Closed Facebook Group: California Fairs Alliance. Membership is open to all active WFA members.
